We are sad to announce the death of Emerita Professor Christina Ioana Illias, who passed away in Bloomington, Indiana at the age of 77 on October 15, 2021. She earned a Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1994 and served as an Associate Professor of Classical Studies and Romanian Language until her retirement from active teaching in 2019.
